Mechanical Fitter – Port Melbourne

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at a leading aerospace and advanced manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne. This role involves working on precision mechanical systems, assemblies, and components to support production and maintenance operations.


Day shift: Monday to Friday.

Roster: Approximately 4 weeks on day shift, followed by 1 week on afternoon shift (rotating cycle).


What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance tasks on aerospace components and systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct inspections, measurements, and testing to verify quality standards.
• Operate and maintain workshop tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to workplace safety, environmental, and quality management systems.

What You’ll Bring:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent qualification).
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting, preferably within aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
